South Texas District Children's Ministries exist to resource, train,
and support our churches as they minister to children.
We want to partner with you in Bible Quizzing, Caravans, Talent, Children's Camp and beyond!
Greg and Kendra Christy
Greg and Kendra currently serve as South Texas District Children's Ministry Directors. They have been members of Living Word Nazarene (formerly Spring Branch Nazarene) in Houston since 1994. Greg and Kendra have been married for 17 years and have a son, Isaac, and a daughter, Sarah. They have served as classroom teachers, board member, SDMI committee members, children’s council, Upwards coaches, VBS director, and in various other ministries.

Jodie Berquist
Jodie currently serves as a Children's camp director. She is the Associate Pastor at Houston Westside. Her focus is children’s ministry, women’s ministry, evangelism and outreach. Jodie and her husband, Mark, enjoy their life in Katy with their three children, Zack, Coleman and Irelyn.
"It is my passion and calling to proclaim the Word of God and seek to build His Kingdom, sharing the hope and love of Christ with all I meet. "
Tracy Gosnell
Tracy Gosnell or “Ms. Tracy” currently serves as the Caravan and Quizzing Director for the district. She is also the Children’s Pastor at Belton Church. She has been involved in Children’s Ministry since 1994, has been the District Quizzing Director since 2006 and the Caravan Director since 2007 for the South Texas District.
"I have a love for all of the children on our District and a desire for them to know that they can have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ."
Crissy McDowell
Crissy McDowell currently serves a Children's Camp Director. She is also the Children's Pastor at San Antonio First Church of the Nazarene. She has served as Camp Director for the last four years. Crissy lives with her husband, Brian, and their four children, Chris, Isabel, Mateo and Samuel.
"My passion is to see children fully engaged in God's Word and empowered to live out loud for Christ. I want every child to know that they are NEVER too young to live a life for God and to make a difference in the lives of others."
